Recording equipment
Between 2 worlds: I recorded this first album in 1996 and it wasn't so easy to do it than today with a single PC. All MIDI tracks (keyboards, bass and drums) were programmed on ATARI 1040 ST with Cubase 3.0. Then, I synchronized it with a TASCAM 8 tracks analog recorder using a SMPTE / MTC box. One track of the recorder was reserved for the time code, so I had only 7 tracks left for my guitars :-(
Here below a list of the equipment that I've used:
- Keyboards & X-panders: Yamaha DX7, AKAI S950 & S750, Roland MKS50, Yamaha TX81Z, Roland U220, Yamaha PTX8, Roland TR626
- Recorders: TASCAM 38 - 1/2" 8 tracks analog, TEAC X-2500 - 1/4" 2 tracks analog
- Hardware & soft: ATARI 1040 ST with Cubase 3.0, Midiman sync box
- Guitars: Ibanez R540 Ltd Custom, Japanese Strat copy, Hondo II acoustic
- Preamps & FX: Zoom 9002, Roland GP16, Boss GL100, Roland DEP3, Yamaha SPX90II & SPX50D
